invest with attitude

What do I mean by Invest with Attitude? I have a dog named Major. Those determined eyes in the banner above are his. He was named after the gentleman who gave me my first listing. My dog's approach to life exemplifies investment attitude. Have you ever heard the expression "A dog in the hunt doesn't know he has fleas?" That's the attitude. Major can get focused on something like a treat (the investment GOAL), and he'll knock things over, jump furniture, and yes, he'll even sit for one. He has a passion and a drive to get that treat, and nothing will get in the way. You can see the adrenalin kick in when he gets that focus. This is the attitude that gets serious investors through the day. Is that all that it takes to successfully invest in real estate? Of course not. But when you have a tenant calling you about a broken toilet, or a leaking roof, it's that attitude that will pull you through. I work with many different investors whose investments range from single family homes to shopping centers, and all have that attitude. If you'd like to know more about investing, read on. If you'd like to see more about Major, click here (coming soon).

What else does it take to become an investor? The best investors that I know look at investments with an analytical approach. They don't become emotionally attached to a property. They become emotionally attached to their investment GOALS. There are many reasons why people invest in real estate. Some are looking for income. Some need a tax shelter. Most want the benefits of long-term appreciation. A smart real estate investor makes decisions about purchasing property by evaluating his or her current financial position, consulting with a qualified accountant and hiring a Realtor® who can help them find a property that meets their specific investment objective. Beware of anyone who tries to tell you that their property is a fantastic investment. They may mean well, but they can't tell you what you should invest in because they don't know YOUR investment goals. That's why the first question I ask when meeting with a potential customer is "Why do you want to buy or sell an investment property?" Learning your goals will help me to better serve your real estate needs. I wouldn't trust someone else's subjective assessment of a particular property. I would trust a qualified source who provided me with reasonable data to help me make a decision. That's what I do for my customers, and that's what I do when I make my own investment decisions. I am a Realtor®, and I am an investor. If you are looking for a Realtor® to help you buy or sell a residential, commercial, or investment property, please email me or call me at (352) 222-5924. Let me help you reach your investment goals.
